Saturday's list.

Ten good things about this particular Saturday

1. Slice-and-bake pumpkin-shaped/colored Halloween cookies.
2. The theme music from “Carnivale.”
3. Sun, despite the prediction of solid rain.
4. Fresh flannel sheets on the bed.
5. My wool roll-neck forest green sweater. Sure it’s pilly, but it’s warm, too.
6. The cats going nuts over brand-new handmade catnip toys. Even Zoe, who’s usually not interested.
7. Having a meal plan for the week. [Monday = chili]
8. Ordering Boo a chew-proof bed from Orvis.
9. Browsing at Barnes & Noble after dinner at a new Mexican restaurant.
10. The latest Bas Bleu catalog.
