Fifteen things.

Fifteen Good Things About Today

1. Warm apple crisp, just out of the oven.
2. Four hand-painted frames, twelve tins of marble magnets, and one hundred greeting cards all good to go for next weekend’s Fall Bazaar at church. Just in the nick of time.
3. Anniversary #12. No big doings. It’s just nice to be home on a grey, drizzly day.
4. Fun-size Take 5 candy bars, allegedly for Halloween. We all know that’s a lie.
5. Taking tomorrow off. Both of us.
6. Reading The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe for the first time.
7. My new Pentel pencil with the 0.9 mm lead. This makes me irrationally giddy.
8. Maybe some popcorn later on.
9. A fresh roll of postage stamps.
10. The big chair and the Sunday paper.
11. Walking a new trail during a brief break in the weather (though I had to pee too bad to REALLY enjoy it).

13. The pups are snoozy and quiet. So is Fred.
14. A new episode of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” at 10 pm.
15. A new slab of paper for card-making. Get to work!
