shadow19's Diaryland Diary

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Four hours in the cold medication aisle.

Uh-oh...a blast of bagpipes on the TV and one of the dogs is less than pleased. Let's just say that they make him freak out a little. Or a lot.

I hear ya, Scout.

Can you have a cold forever? I'm sick of pills, sandpapery Kleenex jammed in every pocket, snuffing, waking at 2 am all hot and stuffy, and that red patch between my nose and upper lip. Uncle. I'm crying uncle. Satisfied??

The week has been pretty routine so far, but trying to function in a snot-fog makes even easy stuff seem tricky. A few funnish projects popped up today, and when I get a little burst of energy, I'll jump on them. Until then, let's just keep it routine, 'k?

We holed up for most of the weekend (not really a bad thing...many cards were made), but did venture out for a beef tips dinner (NEEDED meat...maybe it was the virus talking), groceries (ICE CREAM...and, oh yeah, actual dinner stuff), stellar soup and sandwiches, and the 12:50 pm showing of "Million Dollar Baby." Thems good field trips.

Oh...and yesterday I won an insulated Lab Safety Supply lunch bag for submitting the (carefully researched) correct answer to an online trivia question. Today Fred won the just-released DVD set of "Murder One," by being the correct caller and answering "Woolworth's." His prize whips my prize's ass.

Still, that's a lot of prizes for one week. The best prize though? Throttle down the phlegm.
