shadow19's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Get thee outside. Our local Price Chopper has something wrong feng shui-wise. We shopped there last night, as there were many deals to be had, but man, oh, man, by the time we were mid-store, I was cranky, frustrated, and unable to focus. Where the hell is the Crispix? (Cereal is a mish-mash of brands and types.) Yipe...it took us forever and I was all limp by the time we were done. The aisles are too narrow...I'm pretty sure that's it. Might be time to head back to Hannaford, where the aisles are runway-wide, and I never have the urge to desert my cart and run away. The week was sunny and warmer...a nice boost for flagging spirits. We had a funeral Tuesday afternoon (husband's great uncle), but the weather made even that seem not so bad. (The weather, combined with the fact that his uncle was ready and willing to move on to the next adventure.) I keep picturing him once again making his wife fetch him drinks and adjust the TV volume...if there are drinks and TVs in the afterlife. Anyway, he's certainly making her do SOMETHING. Got another doctor's appointment under my belt this week, as well. (Had some liquid nitrogen applied to a flock of unsightly back moles. They should be gone in a few days...and it was really only stingy for an hour or two.) Now...there is just the mammogram on March 1st...and I really don't mind that. Sure, applying the BBs feels odd, but after that, I'm usually able to transport myself to another reality until the mashing is done. Fred's spit-polishing my car, and in return, I'm baking oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. The pups are romping, begging, and snoozing in little doggy fits. Whatta day.
