shadow19's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's nineish. It is oddly warm here...nearly 60 when it should be about 20. So we walked tonight, still in winter coats and hats (as we're supposed to in January) and wound up a little sweaty. But it was a good kind of sweaty. The wind is stiff, as a cold front is about to blow in, but until it does, the warm wind filled the evening with the smell of dryer sheets, wet lumber, mud, and grilling steaks. And just so ya know...I replaced the battery and band on one of my defunct watches...the one where the hands are paint brushes and a few of the hours are marked by paint splotches. The rest of the hours are unmarked. It is a little strange to move from a digital/light up watch, where you knew what time it was to the exact second, to this one, where you have a general abstract sense of the time. If the little hand's on the black splotch, it's about four. It's probably not a bad thing to live with a looser grip on time. The resolutions are going well. I'm flossing like a trooper, still cruising through my nightly bible readings, starting to find my voice in my journal, and have turned off the switch that needed a nightly ice cream cone. I feel looser. Better. A little improved. Maybe it's the watch. 8:52 p.m. - 2005-01-13 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
