I'm feeling quite god-like, as in one measly Sunday afternoon, I cooked a pot roast, made my own gravy (not all that tricky, but I'd never done it before and every recipe book sort of jumbles up the steps...drippings, pan juices, water, flour...anyway, it all came together nicely. One, I've learned, should not fret over gravy), and then made a batch of dee-lish crepes for a light supper. The last time I felt this...ummm, buoyant...was when I ran some homemade pasta dough through a hand-cranked machine and made fettucine.
