I have the tiniest of pimples on the VERY tip of my tongue. Tiny, but annoying. I had a good day, but this pesky thing kept it from being a GREAT day. Took the edge off the day's potential, let's just say. That, and tonight's trip to Fred's grandmother's apartment. We were summoned as she "needed" Eskimo Pies. Not bread. Not milk. Eskimo Pies. To be fair, I guess I've been there myself. Anyway, we made the delivery, then stayed through an episode of "Wheel of Fortune," at about 4000 decibels. Not to mention the on-going bickering between grandma and Uncle John, the hermit. I think I was literally moaning in agony. Finally, I croaked out "Need air," and we made a run for it, not unlike the Looney Tunes Road Runner. Spinning legs, clouds of dust. Beep, beep. After a day of sudden downpours, the evening cleared, and the sidewalks dried. We walked around our old neighborhood, noting new siding, neglected gutters (literally sprouting tiny maple trees), and well-tended lawns. We're known for freely spouting praise and criticism on each and every walk. Looks good. Looks bad. What were they thinking with THAT color scheme? We were in great form tonight, if I do say so myself. Exhale. Conclusion?
